I was confused. But yes, that same Zilog Corporation as the Z80. They also did... action comics as promotional material?

The final page, containing disclaimers (presumably from their standard spec sheets?) disclaiming any inaccuracy and warning "Not for use in life support" is adding, not removing, my confusion.

kinda similar in vein https://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/big_00.html this one is by Scott McCloud. I own Understanding Comics and Reinventing Comics both of which are inspirational reads

I really like "comics" like these. They're often well thought-out and can often get concepts across faster than plain documentation by using imagery that would stand out in a plain readme.

Unfortunately, I expect any company/project/product to produce these in the modern age to reach for AI.

When I worked at this place in the mid-90s, I came into possession of a physical copy of the second issue. Here’s the first: https://archive.org/details/CaptainInternetAndCERFBoyNumber1...

Be forewarned, soujourner: the jokes herein are corny as hell, and you may not understand if you were not the sort of neckbeard who attended Usenix LISA.
