With >100 EV companies in China competing with each other to death (only 15 expected to survive), I really doubt any aerodynamic efficiencies that Ford claims to have will be a lasting differentiator.
The Formula 1 tie-in is probably because people who aren’t race fans know what that is.
Ford has plenty of factory race teams they could have borrowed aerodynamic talent from, but the headline IMSA-inspired wouldn’t make sense to most people.
